MEB Design were appointed for the extension and refurbishment of the existing Hertford College Boat House,  to be shared with five other rowing clubs and to be known as the Long Bridges Boat House. The ground floor is divided into boat bays for ‘eights’, ‘fours’ and ‘skiffs’. The first floor provides individual club rooms opening onto a shared balcony, with changing and shower facilities. A gym and ‘erg’ room is fitted into the new roofspace, and a boat repair workshop is added to the rear.

The scheme was part funded by a grant from the Foundation for Sports and the Arts.
